hello baseball...
Eli's baseball schedule is out. We hope to make it to a couple of his games since he plays in the Metrodome in Minneapolis! The last time I was there was for ISU's elite eight game in the NCAA tourney against Michigan State. Do I have that right? It was the spring of 2000 and I got loads of pictures from our awesome seats behind the basket. Didn't realize I had no film in the camera until I got home. We assume that Jake was probably there, since by this time he had mostly likely committed to ISU. And Janel skipped school, to go with a bunch of us, then got sick and stayed home the rest of the week. I remember her teaching calling me and telling me she can't be sick that long! Sorry. She was!
Eli will also play in Sioux Center @ Dordt over a weekend in March, so we hope to venture up there and watch him play and see Yaw!
I'm going to have to get used to watching baseball in February & March & April! Batter Up!
For the record, I do not recall a January quite like this one. I should have kept track how many times we were able to walk outside. Way more then usual. Yesterday was 62, warm and sunny. Next year when I look back for a flashback, I'm going to remember this balmy day.

So....do they play outside for most of the games {besides in the Metrodome}? That could get chilly. I'm still hoping for a good snow storm. We need the moisture! I'd rather have snow than rain. :)
