He told of a worker who was always the first one out the door at the end of his shift. His boss finally asked him how he was always ready to leave. He replied, "I stay ready to keep from getting ready." In other words, he was always in the mode of walking out the door. He was ready when the whistle blew.
DJ likened this to our walk with Christ and our belief in Christ's return. While we're waiting, we should be ready, we should stay ready. Don't be fooled. According to the bible, you don't get to decide after you die. You need to accept the free gift of eternal life while you still can. Stay ready to keep from getting ready.
